Submissions are now being accepted (until March 31) for the £5,000 Ilse Schwepcke Prize for the best English-language travel book written by a woman. The inaugural winner of the prize — named in memory of the director at Haus Publishing, a champion of travel writing and a feminist — was Ursula Martin, author of One Woman Walks Europe (Honno Welsh Women’s Press). She received her award at the Frankfurt Book Fair in October.
