Paul Theroux‘s The Kingdom by the Sea, his account of the United Kingdom as he saw in the year of the Falklands War, is the latest book to feature on the prize-winning podcast Backlisted. I’ve not heard the podcast yet, but I see from the website that another book mentioned in the conversation is  Coasting, by Jonathan Raban, who, I’m reminded, was taking a close look at the same turf at the same time…
