Books on the long list announced today for the Wainwright Prizes, which honour exceptional writing on nature and conservation, include The North Road by Rob Cowen (for nature writing) and A Training School for Elephants by Sophy Roberts and Is A River Alive? by Robert Macfarlane (both for writing on conservation).
