Earlier this week (but I’ve only just had time to read it), the journalist and writer Dani Garavelli uploaded to Substack a lovely piece she wrote originally for The Scotsman in 2021 about a long-overdue visit to Ailsa Craig, that island that “has an almost mystical hold over those who have lived or holidayed on Scotland’s south-west coast”.
