Praise for Weymouth and Hoffman in reviews

Adam Weymouth’s Lone Wolf (Hutchinson Heinemann), in which he he follows the trail of a wolf named Slavc, which was tracked by GPS making a thousand-mile journey through the Alps from Slovenia to northern Italy, was hailed by James McConnachie in The Sunday Times yesterday as “a very fine book… Kings of the Yukon was a fabulous debut. Weymouth’s writing has darkened and matured since. If he keeps going like this, the next book will be extraordinary.”

In The Observer, Alex Preston said that Julian Hoffman’s Lifelines (Elliott & Thompson), born of a spontaneous decision to up sticks from London for a wild lake in Greece, is a poetic memoir and an inspiring call to throw caution to the wind. “Lifelines is not just beautiful, it is quite literally encouraging. It will make you brave. To those waiting for the right moment, the safe path, the clearly marked route, Hoffman offers a challenge: throw yourself towards the dangerous edge of things.”
